چکیده

This paper is concerned with the bit-error rate (BER) performance of a cellular one-hop/symbol frequency-hopping multiple-access (FHMA) system operating through a multipath Rayleigh fading channel. -ary frequency shift keying modulation with noncoherent square-law envelope demodulation and Reed–Solomon (RS) coding is considered. The multiple-access and adjacent cell interference of the cellular FHMA system has been studied. In order to illustrate how sensitive both systems are to the near/far problem, performance of the FHMA system is compared with that of a direct-sequence code-division multiple-access system for an equal system bandwidth. Also, this paper investigates the effect of the values of frequency reuse factor ( ) on the system capacity of the cellular frequency-hopping system.

A novel receiver for FHMA systems

A novel FH/MFSK receiver with additional partial correlators is proposed by means of side information for asynchronous frequency-hopping multiple-access (FHMA) systems in the presence of Rayleigh fading. Performance analysis is carried out and compared for both the novel and conventional receivers. One hop per symbol and Reed–Solomon (RS) coding are used in the FHMA systems. It is shown that th...

Secure Routing Protocol: Affection on MANETs Performance

In mobile ad hoc networks, the absence ofinfrastructure and the consequent absence of authorizationfacilities impede the usual practice of establishing a practicalcriterion to distinguishing nodes as trusted and distrusted.Since all nodes in the MANETs would be used as router inmulti-hop applications, secure routing protocols have vital rulein the security of the network. So evaluating the perf...

Bit error rate performance of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing relaying systems with high power amplifiers and Doppler effects

This paper analyzes the bit error rate performance of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing systems in mobile multihop relaying channels. We considered the uplink scenario and quantified the effects of mobile channel impairments such as Doppler shift due to user mobility per hop, high power amplifier distortions when amplifying the transmitted/ relayed orthogonal frequency-division multipl...

Multi-hop radio access cellular concept for fourth-generation mobile communications system

This paper proposes a Multi-hop Radio Access Cellular (MRAC) scheme for achieving both highspeed/high-capacity and good area coverage in fourth generation mobile communications systems. In this scheme, we assume two kinds of hop stations, one is a dedicated repeater station installed at a good propagation location such as a rooftop, and the other is a user terminal that temporarily experiences ...

A Study of Multi-Node and Dual-Hop Collaborative Communication Performance Based on Harmonic Mean Method

Abstract: Closed form expressions for the PDF and MGF of the harmonic mean of two independent exponential variates are cited and derived, and then applied to study the performance of cellular multi-node and dual-hop cooperative communication systems with non-regenerative relays over flat Rayleigh fading channels. We derive the probability density function (PDF) and asymptotic symbol error rate ...
